FAQS

Rates & Insurance Questions

  • Why is therapy different from talking to a friend when considering the cost?

Counseling provides the clinical value of an unbiased, neutral professional who can "hold space" for your history without the judgment often found in social circles. This professional relationship is a strategic investment in identifying your strengths and expanding your tools for long-term emotional well-being.

  • What happens if I miss an appointment without 24-hour notice?

Because your appointment time is reserved exclusively for your care, a 24-hour notice is mandatory for cancellations. Failure to comply with this protocol results in a charge for the full rate of the session.

  • Is counseling still valuable if I am already taking medication?

Yes, counseling serves as a vital tool to unpack root causes and expand personal strengths, even when used in conjunction with medication. We position therapy as the engine of recovery, focusing on the client-provider relationship to facilitate lasting change.

  • How do I manage my payments and clinical records?

We utilize SimplePractice for all clinical records and billing. You will receive a secure link to our client portal where you can complete intake forms, view your schedule, and manage your payments electronically.
